- Special Appendix II written by Dr. Mercola, for doctors in peer language describing Dr. Thomas McPherson Brown’s scientifically proven antibiotic protocol. - Dr Nicholson wrote the highly useful appendix on dietary modifications useful in combating chronic infections and their symptoms.
- Vitamin Vs. Herx: Effective antibiotic and homeopathic treatment is usually accompanied by Jarish Herxheimer reactions which present pains, itching and other discomforting symptoms similar to an allergic reaction. This is due to the toxins released by treatment and to the die off of microbes including microbe-infected host cells.
